Aiya, really Alzheimer's now. Can anyone remember when we had this camp? Remnant memories of canoeing from Punggol Point to Tekong, with pit stops at Pulau Sajahat Kechil and a kelong for lunch.
on our way there?
maybe on our way back? looking tired already haha
happily rafting up
did we just land on Tekong?
looking happy
under the coconut trees
not quite paradise, but good enough lunch at a kelong
Mr Loh Bak Fatt, our Coach! Getting down from lunch?
another kelong Strong boys carrying the rescue boat
Strong girls carrying their canoes
Not sure if this was breakfast or dinner, looks kinda dark but could be the age of these photos!
This looks really dark... supper?
I think this is Pulau Sajahat Kechil, which no longer exists!
sleeping... I'm quite sure we're on our way back but Pete's wearing the same shirt! Smelly.
Camp in Ubin… vague memories of the girls hitching a ride on a pickup to the north shores of Ubin, taking a cold bath at a well somewhere, and one soul trying to take pictures of lightning with an idiot-proof camera of those times!
We made it back by the way… Not sure where everyone is now though?
On the steps, but still not in place... some of us looking west, some east
Ling & I were sitting in the ACS canteen last year waiting for our boys when we saw a poster for AC Idol, organized by the 30th ACJC Students Council! I asked Ling which council we were in – “6th, Syl”. Aargh.
Well, here we are…. the way we were - The 6th ACJC Students’ Council 1981-1982!!! (big collars and all)(so 70s, deb says)(actually 80s) (sigh)
On the whole, I think the collars weren't so cool. But we had fun...
Not sure when this was, but they still do it nowadays – make nonswimmer (nonswimming) girls swim to make up numbers… so evil... poor deb had to swim at her school swimming meet last Saturday… we just bought her swimsuit on CNY Eve. Haha.
People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing, Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin, When I say that I'm ok they look at me kind of strange, Surely you’re not happy now you no longer play the game,
People say I'm lazy dreaming my life away, Well they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me, When I tell that I'm doing fine watching shadows on the wall, Don't you miss the big time boy you're no longer on the ball?
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll, No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go,
People asking questions lost in confusion, Well I tell them there's no problem, Only solutions, Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I've lost my mind, I tell them there's no hurry... I'm just sitting here doing time,
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll, No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go.
Hey... I would really love to just be watching the wheels!
